So I found this one with 50% off in Waterstones, and when I saw Matt Haig’s name on the cover, I couldn’t help myself. I couldn’t wait to start this one, especially after having a quick flick through and seeing the number of big names crammed into the book.

It’s a brilliant anthology of letters all different personalities have made about mental health and wellbeing, all for Mind.

I especially loved Fiona Phillip’s letter, which was the first in the book and definitely the best out of them all. It was so heartfelt and poetically written, it really was lovely and exactly what I expected from the anthology.

Chris Riddell’s illustrations were really thought-provoking and definitely worth buying the book for. I would actually buy any book if he illustrated it! Pretty much the same goes for Matt Haig!

However, compared to a lot of other anthologies I’ve read, I felt that this one was a bit lacking. It didn’t seem to flow very well from letter to letter and most of the letters were to brief to get anything meaningful out of them. About 25% of the letters were really good, but I just felt as if the rest were missing something.
