A Book from your World Cup Competing Country/ the Country that You Want to Win!
I’m from England and I don’t really support any football teams so I think I’ll go with that!
So for England I’ll pick How To Stop Time by Matt Haig, a lovely book that actually mentions a lot of different places in England throughout different times.
It’s The Beautiful Game
Football! Soccer! Beautiful! Whatever you call it!
A book with a pretty cover / A book that features soccer
I’ve never actually read a book that features football, or any kind of sport to that matter (says a lot about me!). There’s plenty with pretty covers though!
My all time favourite is probably Turtles All The Way Down by John Green because it’s so simple but really works!
Face paint! Big signs! Lots of noise!
Name a fandom you love being a part of!
A Series of Unfortunate Events fandom is the best! It’s so full of memes and jokes and never fails to cheer me up!
Teamwork! Teamwork! Teamwork!
There is no way one person can win the game!
Name your Favourite Bookish Crew / A Book that has Co-Authors!
I haven’t really read anything lately that has more than one author, but my favourite bookish crew is definitely the Glass House Gang from Morganville Vampires! I’ve always wished I could have a friendship like theirs!
Ref Blows the Whistle
You either love him or you hate him.
Name a book/character that you mixed feelings towards!
Eleanor Oliphant! She’s such an unlikable protagonist and really hard to get along with but towards the end of the book I grew to absolutely love her even though she’s painfully annoying, weird, and creepy.
Everyone loses their heads and starts yelling at the top of their lungs!
Name your last 5 star read!
The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella! It’s absolutely hilarious and had me hooked from the first page.
The Gold Cup
It’s what we play for.
The Most Coveted/Loved Book On Your Shelf
I think my most coveted is my library binding of Glass Houses by Rachel Caine because she’s signed it twice now and the memories that go with it always make me smile.
