I’m loving writing this series! I hope you all love it as much as me! Remember to let me know what you think in the comments!
I love special editions of books. And I mean I absolutely LOVE them. When I find out that a book I love is being re-released as a special edition, I just can’t help myself.
Who needs money when you can have special edition books?!
Last year (I think), a special edition of Matt Haig’s How To Stop Time was released and it was illustrated by Chris Riddell. Anyone who reads my blog regularly will know how much I love both of those two. So I had to get that special edition.
And don’t get me started on how many different copies of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland I have.
It’s becoming an issue. If I loved a book, I will buy whatever special editions of it that I can find.
But special editions are guaranteed to be more expensive than any other editions of books. I don’t mind paying that because they’re always worth the money but when one book has multiple special editions, do I really need to be buying them all?
Look, this one has a sparkly cover – I NEED IT
This one has an extra chapter – I NEED IT
This one has illustrations – I NEED IT
Fast forward and I’ve got multiple copies of the same book. And although I do re-read books, I won’t ever read the special editions because they’re too pretty to wreck by reading! So end up with stacks of different copies of the same books and I literally only ever read one copy of them.
It’s a problem.
But I’m still not going to stop buying special editions!
