After Life, Season 1 (Netflix)

I think this is one of my new favourite programmes, and I just can’t wait for the second season. I hadn’t heard a thing about it but it came up as featured on my Netflix homepage, so I put it on and hoped for the best.

I don’t usually like Ricky Gervais – I’ve tried watching both The Office UK and Extras and I really don’t like him in it. But I absolutely loved him in After Life. The comedy is dark, and it is challenging to watch as it follows a man after his wife has died from cancer, but it is so good! It’s definitely worth watching if you haven’t already.

The Umbrella Academy, Season 1, Episodes 1-6 (Netflix)

I don’t really know how I feel about this, and I’ve left it for a while in the hopes that I will enjoy it again when I go back to it.

It’s just weird. Six episodes in and I still don’t really understand what is happening. I do like the characters, fair enough, but I’m just not too sure that this is something I can get into.

Isn’t It Romantic? (Netflix)

This is the world’s best Rom-Com. Ever.

Rebel Wilson is brilliant and she just makes it. I love that it’s a rom-com that makes fun of the genre whilst also following the exact plot of a film within the genre. It’s funny, weird, and the little musical number at the end just completes it. It’s a must watch for everyone!

Friday Night Dinner, Seasons 1-3 (Netflix)

This month, I rewatched Friday Night Dinner for the millionth time, and it still never grows old. WHEN ARE WE GETTING A NEW SEASON?!

It’s my all-time favourite thing to watch and I can keep rewatching this and never get bored. It’s perfect British comedy and it is endlessly relatable. I really hope all of you have watched this already, but if you haven’t – please stop reading this post now to go binge-watch it.

Community, Season 1 (All 4)

I last watched this when I was in college, and then promptly forgot about it until I saw it mentioned on Twitter a few weeks ago. I used to love the series so I decided to give it another watch.

To be honest, I think my taste in comedy has changed since college, and I didn’t really find it overly funny this time around, but it’s still enjoyable as something to watch in the background while I’m cleaning.

The OA, Part 2, Episodes 1-2 (Netflix)

Part 1 of The OA was mindblowing. It was brilliant. I went into it not expecting much, and then fell completely in love. It’s the perfect show for me, and is what I wish I could write!

So I have been waiting for ages for Part 2, and now it’s here, I’m over the moon. It took me a while to get into the first episode, mainly because it takes a while to understand what’s happening. The episodes are an hour long, so I know it will take me a while to work through this series, but so far, I’m loving it as much as the first. I can’t wait to watch some more and see what happens!

Have you watched any of these? Let me know your opinions!
